A nice shelter
(Updated: September 08, 2013)

There aren't usually that many guinea pigs at this shelter (as of writing this, there is only one right now). Much of the staff and the volunteers aren't cavy-knowledgable, but they are friendly. The pigs here are unaltered, so a spay/neuter would be necessary to pair opposite gendered roommates together.

Edit:

(Usually there will be info on guinea pig care, or at least when I remember to print some out and when we have guinea pigs).

We actually got a giant wave of 10 pigs, so we had 11 at one time. The number changes rapidly (sometimes we'll have 10-12, sometimes 0). A lot of times, nearby rescues (Cavy Haven, Wee Companions and LA Guinea Pig Rescue) will pull guinea pigs from this shelter, especially if they've been here for a longish time (about 1-2 months).

Edit #2: (9/8/13)

So apparently this shelter seems to have no problem splitting up bonded pairs (not just guinea pigs, but DOGS even, pairs that have been together for years). If you're interested in a guinea pig from a bonded pair (two pigs living in a cage together), PLEASE take both pigs, not just one. They most likely have been together their entire lives and separating them would be cruel.
