How many grids do I need for a cover?

We recommend the Closetmaid shelving type of cover as it's sturdier and looks neater. Closetmaid shelving is typically only found in white, so if you want to match the cover to the cage, be sure to get white grids. If you prefer black grids for the cage, Closetmaid does come in a charcoal gray color, but not always available. If you'd prefer to use grids for a cover, see the section "Cage Tops & Covers" under the C&C Cages store menu for information.

Yes. We accept money orders and personal checks. Place items you wish to purchase in your cart and when you checkout, select "send check or money order." How do I add an upper deck?

Both upper decks we offer include everything you need to make a second level to your base cage. It's assembled pretty much the same way as the base cage, but you'll just be turning the connectors sideways in between the two decks where they join. We recommended you have at least a 2x3 grid to a 2x6 grid base cage when adding a 1x2 grid upper deck, and at least a 2x4 grid to a 2x6 grid cage when adding a 2x2 grid upper deck. This way, you have adequate space to access the lower level for cleaning.

What if my guinea pig is biting on the Coroplast?

Coroplast is very durable, however, occasionally a guinea pig may chew on the edge and start making the edges ragged. This won't hurt him, as coroplast is non-toxic, but eventually it will wear down the coroplast. We offer edge binders in the accessories section that you can slide over the edges to deter piggy from chewing and protect the coroplast.
